Glitches?

1. When I upgraded the kitchen the upgrade covered most of the door on that side. 2. When starting a new generation the children's age order is reversed. The youngest will be the oldest and so on. I'm wondering if it's a glintch, or if the creators did this on purpose. I'd sure like to know, as this seems really strange. 3. I accidently mated the father with the daughter that looked like mother...:( oh this shouldn't happen. The good thing is that when they mated the mother is the one that carried the baby. REALLY STRANGE!

I found a troublesome glitch is my very first family. Sometimes when you praise someone, it acts like the punishment glove--they run away. I just now "praised" a lazy woman for finally agreeing to work, and she ran out of the workshop! I usually use fruit, but these folks don't have much money.

1. I don't understand what you mean here. Can you explain further, or attach a screenshot?
2. When transitioning to a new generation the kid's ages are changed to roughly the same as that of your original adoptee. I think it's random what actual age shows on the adoption screen, so the fact the kids' ages were reversed is probably a coincidence. This is to allow kids who were 17 or under at the time of transition to be able to marry, and also so that the older kids can be chosen and still have a fairly fully married life ahead of them; otherwise they might be 40 or so and be passed over.
3. I know this is a bug that Barbara has said will be corrected in a future release.
Whimsey: If you praise a peep too often they'll tell you to stop nagging, and run away.

OK, I'll start at the bottom and work my way up! The running away is not a glitch. If you praise a peep too many times, they will complain that you're nagging. Watch the blue message area above their action, and you'll see what they're telling you. The "out of order" ages at transition time is not a glitch, either, but you could say that it's not necessarily the best design choice if you're looking for realism. The children's ages, occupation, and desire for children is randomized when you press the transition button. Since the children's ages can vary widely, the game puts them in an age range that is right for starting out on their own. The family birth order is not maintained. That can lead to what you're seeing with the ages. The bug with parent/child breeding was fixed in the 1.00.02 update. Lewanda, can you provide a screen shot of the kitchen problem? We have not seen that. If you're not sure how to do that, you can see detailed procedures here.

FYI guys, the medicines in my store have all gone blank since upgrading to .02. I've got screenshot of that too.

Thanks everyone for giving answers. I might not even have noticed the age difference if it wasn't for the triplets.

I have had quite a few crashes both with the original version purchased on the first day, and after updating to 1.00.01. It freezes, (not responding to Ctrl, alt delete) and usually turns the whole screen to weird video display like tweed clothe. After reading some of the other posts, I tried running the game with no other programs open and it still eventually crashed. It happened in both full screen and windowed mode.
I use "Trend Micro Internet Security" for anti-virus. Do you know if VF is compatible with that? (Note: I didn't have trouble any of your other programs)
Computer info: AMD 64x2 dual core processor 5000+, 2.61 GHz, 1.93 GB Ram.
Your help ios very much appreciated

Barbara, I just upgraded my kitchen and see the door covering issue that Lewanda mentions above. To make sure I wasn't just seeing things, I grabbed a screenshot of both an upgraded and not upgraded kitchen. Here you go! I also have this problem, but it's not too much of an issue.

Hi all! New to these boards, but I have a glitch I thought you might all like to see. The Mom from my family was dying -- to the point that her ghost was separating -- when I healed her. She survived ... and so did her ghost! [/img] I closed the game and reopened it to see if the ghost would go away -- instead, she solidified, and there are 2 seperate Jessettes, with their own detail screens.

I'm certainly not complaining with the extra salary -- although the rest of her family has been in mourning for her! I managed to heal her by keeping some of the heavy duty medicine in my tray as soon as my older peeps hit 50 -- I started doing this because I'd open the game after being away for a few hours, and I'd have someone die before I could buy anything from the store. This was the first time I tried my quick heal strategy

I'm sorry, but I can't make a screenshot, because I fixed the problem myself Since I was doing it I went all the way and added doors with stained glass...I did it for all three levels with the wall and cabinets behind them slightly showing through. I'll post it below! I did see where someone else posted a screenshot of the problem after reading my post though..You should be able to find it in the forum looking for this topic. I'm wondering if you can tell me how to heal weakness in a teenager? I've kept them well fed and treated all diseases as they occured. I know in the villagers you could cure weakness by making them eat if you couldn't fix potions yet, but that isn't as simple in this game. Also will they be weak when they come back in the house if I chose that one??? I'd sure like to know, as he's been prone to illness since he was about 10. About the parent and child mating; I believe it happened after the .02 update, though I'm not altogether possitive about that...I'll keep a watch out for it. Here is a screenshot of my fix. This is level 1, because the family I'm checking on right doesn't have the upgrade. I hope I'm doing this right, as I've never done it before. http://wandabarton.com/PSP/Mods/KitchenRug&Doors.jpg
