Okay, I have two children that are 18. I read in another post that at 18 they move out. They haven't done this yet but I assume it will be soon.

Where do they go? Do we see them anymore?

I also read that when one parent dies you have the option of choosing one of the children to inherit the house. What happens to the other siblings and the parent? Are we assuming that when this happens everyone else is out of the house except for the remaining parent?

Do we see our children get married? Or after they move out are they just gone?

You're correct, the kids will move out before 19y. They go away to college and from what I've seen you may get occasional e-mails from the child but you will not see them unless they take over the house.

When a child is selected to take over the house all remaining sibs (ie: under 19) and remaining parent disappear. I don't know where they go! Nursing homes, foster homes? And you don't see or hear from them. The child taking over moves in as a new adoptee/homeowner (with amenities, upgrades, food, finances remaining). The only child you see marry is the one who takes over the house. And I haven't seen any graduation celebration yet.

Hope that covers it! smile

Maybe in the next version of the game (Virtual Families 2?) they will include more features like that. This one seems to be the basic game to introduce us to the VF world, though it does have many neat things about it that are clearly "upgrades" from Virtual Villagers (moms doing other things while nursing babies, etc). As those of us who played VV and other Sims-type games know, each new version of the game adds more more detailed and "sophisticated" features than the one before it. It will be interesting to see where this one goes in the future. For now, I am thoroughly enjoying this first version of VF. KUDOs to those who created and built it!

Ahh, that is really lousy. I just had my girl go off to college and now she's just *poof*, gone. I thought they'd still be part of the game.

So at any one time you only have that house and whoever lives in it to "deal" with...? That stinks...
