Hello, I'm apparently close to the end the 10 first puzzles are solved my golden child is born. Unfortunately I saw in the puzzle hints that a master builder was required for the last puzzle. The fact is that I have nothing more to build on the island thus my builders do not increase their skills and are only adept builders (my last master builder is dead last night I guess). Moreover they are quite old and my new builders generation is unable to learn anything about building (they are always bored and do nothing since they have nothing to build). How then can I solve puzzle 12 ? can the golden boy solve it (if he is still on the island after the puzzle 11 .... it isn't solved yet thus I do not know) ? I would be quite disapointed to be stucked at the last puzzle simply because I can not learn anymore a required skill.... other question I reached all level 3s and my research staff does not research anymore is it normal ?

The GC can't solve puzzle 12 - but you don't have to wait for 11 to be solved before you start 12. You just need a lot of tech levels.

If you're running v1.0, you'll have to wait for island events that increase building skill - and some people have had to wait a long time for the right event. If you're on v1.1, you can train builders by fixing huts.

this is what I was afraid off, yes I play v1.0 simply because I started with this version and didn't want to abandon my ongoing game .... well I'm stucked then because none of my sims is a master builder anymore and I know I won't get any building skill from hut fixing .... I need to wait for the appropriate event .... damnit this is really frustrating

My heart is with you on this, p6ril. I have experienced it more than once or twice when I was playing on v1.0. But solved it, you will. Just may take an awfully long time if you're not lucky.

I do hope that island event happens before your adept builders die out. I remembered I set 3 - 4 villagers on sorting out after that island event and they only managed to become adept builders. So may be it's best to set only 1 - 2 villagers on that task if your current bunch of adept builders have died out by then.

The less frustrating and painful way is to upgrade to v1.1 and start a new game. It's much easier to play and you should be able to achieve to what you have now in a shorter time if you play Easy game on Normal speed most of the time (pause it when you sleep though).
