Hey, I've noticed a bug that sometimes kicks in when you have an aquarium paused and open it up and time has passed anyways. THIS ONLY WORKS IF YOU HAVE NOT CLOSED OUT OF FISH TYCOON SINCE YOU DISCOVERED THE AQUARIUM IS RUNNING OUT OF ITS TIME.

This process must be done quickly. Go to the trophy room, click on Statistics, and then update statistics. Immedeatly after, press Alt+Tab, and then ctrl+alt+del. If you are using windows 2000 or below, click on Fish Tycoon, then click end task. If you are using XP, click on processes, click fishtycoon.exe, and click end task. When it prompts you that the program is not responding, click ok.

90% of the time, when you reopen fish tycoon, your aquarium will be back into its paused state. I suggest unpausing it, feeding/de-diseasing your fish, and repausing it as a safety measure. It may take several tries to work properly, and this ONLY works if your aquarium was going when it shouldn't have, and you haven't closed out of Fish Tycoon since you discovered it.

it's happened to my girlfriend about five times now, so I did everything I could to find something that reversed it

Are multiple players on the same computer involved in this situation? If so, you should check out this thread for a description of what's happening. The whole situation can be avoided fairly simply!

It's happened to her before without her doing anything more than changing the players and directly clicking on play. It still says "tank paused", but time has passed. Dunno where the actual bug would be, but it got to the point where I had to figure something out

Yes after reading this, I went back and checked on all previous "stopped" games and in one of them I had to cure a couple of fish that werent sick when I stopped it.
