It's really a very friendly ghost! It even waves to you one last time before departing.

The parents of my first two families have died. And I think my last mother is about to die and it wont be from old age. She keeps getting sick and she was Gravely Ill. I have cured her but she's still really weak so she might not last long. frown

Holden and Eva just passed away, both at the age of 60, leaving 16 year old Bijou at home. Proud mom and dad of 5 grown children.

I really must applaud LDW for the sensitive way they show the death of the peeps. The subject could quite easily be treated too lightly, or too over-the-top and mawkish. They also have to bear in mind the varied ages of the players, some of whom may have not had to deal with the problem in real life, and others who might be reminded of their own loss of a loved one. I think they have the balance just right. Congratulations to LDW!

I didn't get a screen shot of my first couple passing, but when I checked them this morning it looked like they were lying in each others arms and they died within seconds of each other. It really was quite beautiful. To be unable to continue without the love of your life and companion for life.

Because I have loved life, I shall have no sorrow to die.-Amelia Burr

A brief candle; both ends burning
An endless mile; a bus wheel turning
A friend to share the lonesome times
A handshake and a sip of wine
So say it loud and let it ring
We are all a part of everything
The future, present and the past
Fly on proud bird
You're free at last. - Charlie Daniels

For everything there is a season,
And a time for every matter under heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to die;
A time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted;
A time to kill, and a time to heal;
A time to break down, and a time to build up;
A time to weep, and a time to laugh;
A time to mourn, and a time to dance;
A time to throw away stones, and a time to gather stones together;
A time to embrace, And a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to seek, and a time to lose;
A time to keep, and a time to throw away;
A time to tear, and a time to sew;
A time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
A time to love, and a time to hate,
A time for war, and a time for peace.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

Down, down, down into the darkness of the grave
Gently they go, the beautiful, the tender, the kind;
Quietly they go, the intelligent, the witty, the brave.
I know. But I do not approve. And I am not resigned.

My own

It's hard, isn't it, Beth? I woke up yesterday to Peach's passing, and I walked around getting ready for an appointment sniffling every 2 seconds. Hubby thought I'd lost my mind :P

frown cry Here is my memorial:

Juliette and Apollo had died side by side. Allthough Apollo was saddened to see his love dying, he found himself relieved too, for dear Juliette had suffered hard times; she would now be relieved from her pain.
And so, without thinking, Apollo laid down beside his beloved and cried like a child, even though he was not a week over sixty...
With a heavy heart, he realized this was his time, too. He could not bear the thought of life anymore... Without Juliette, he was lost, torn, and heartbroken...
Juliette's face was sadly smiling... a face that clearly stated one thing: she had wanted to say one last goodbye, but death had reached her first.
With one last, gratefull look at the world, Apollo said his thanks.
" For my children, Merissa & Alice, for my happy times, and, finally, for Juliette."
And, with one last tear trickling down his face; with one last smile; Apollo peacefully passed away.

Juliette and Apollo waved one last goodbye, then floated away, drifting, smiling, remembering.

In memory of:
Juliette & Apollo.
They will always be remembered.
They will always be loved.
They will always be celebrated.
R.I.P.

I know what you mean. I just started the game up to see everyone in the bedroom, and I wondered what was up. That's when Phantom (yes, that was his name laugh ) waved at me. I didn't cry, but I was choked up a little smile

I like they way they pictured death in this game...so much better than the villager's deaths. It's silly, but it really makes me sad when they die.

Last night I lost my first father, Balo (renamed from Balozo). I didn't like him much when we started, didn't think he was good enough for Adrila. But that was one hard working father. Always fussing at me about getting stuff for his family.

The morning (real time) of the day he died, he sent me an email thanking me and telling me what a wonderful life he had.

Okay, I got a little choked up.

My rainbow girl Sophy just died at the age of 64. I was waiting for the message to inform her death, but instead, the barbecue event message popped up and called everyone to barbecue. The only one left in the house was Gigo, her husband. I was shocked about the idea that he was to barbecue at such a moment. Luckily, the info message came right after, and he began mourning.

I haven't had anyone die yet...and I'm not looking forward to it. I've been with these peeps a lot..how can you NOT feel sad??

It's a little strange that we have to wait for someone to die to go on to the next level. Maybe in the next game, a kid or kids could return from college and at THAT point someone could take over the house. Maybe take care of the folks in their old age? Maybe some options like "live at home", "marry and move out" for the kids?

It would be cool to see gradma and grandpa playing with the grandkids!

I feel the same way! I would like to see the kids return home and spend some time with dear old mom and dad. I have yet have one of my adoptees die but I noticed old Maggie's movements are much slower and her hair's streaked with grey. I worry because their kids are so young. (she was 33 when she gave birth for the first time)
I want the oldest kid to come back from college and be there you know?
The marry and move out option is delicious! I mean, most kids return to their 'nests' until they're able to provide for themselves and then they would move out.

I don't have a picture. I logged on to my first family to get them up. The mother, Fabina, was laid on the bed. I clicked her and she smiled, waved and was gone. She was 65. The husband and their adopted daughter are all depressed. It's so sad.

She was 67 y.o.!!!
Happy and healthy.
But, I let her go.
In order I don't suffer anymore with the deaths, I started other 4 games.

All my peeps have died mid 60's, with one reaching 70. Last night one of my Mother peeps died and I didn't keep too much notice of her age as it was 59. So it seems she died around 60. That seems way too early. I hope I didn't do something. cry

I feed them heaps of the fruits & multivitamins when they show in the store. Anyone else have a peep die (with the 05 update) at 60?

of both parents one after the other? very depressing to say the least. i saw there spiritual bodies float to the top and both of
them waved me goodbye i actually shed tears for them they were good
parents they had 4 boys of which 2 were twins but i guess life goes
on as they say. so now i'm on my second generation in the house. i think this is almost like big brother watching.
how do you all feel about this and DEATH of your little people.

I managed to grab a screenie just as Pierreto's spirit left his body. He was 68 when I last saw him so I would guess he was 70 at the time of his death. His wife died yesterday, Pennesse. She was 62. That's the end of the second generation.

My very first adoptee just died a few minutes ago. Her name was Alice and she was sixty-two. Her husband, Jasper (yes, I name them after Twilight characters) is the only one left in the house at fifty-nine.

Alice and Jazz with their family, minus a triplet daughter who died when she was fifteen.

Yeah. It was due to starvation, so the whole family was pretty weak at the time. It took two home improvements and a new baby to make them a little bit happier. But Alice, Jasper and Violetta (another triplet daughter) weren't completely happy or elated for two or three game years.

Is there an actual memorial? I see the family is outside. I only got a notice letting me know someone has passed on.

When they're very saddened I praise them, with the glove and candy, a lot more. That brings their happiness bar up a little at a time.

Kristola was the baby of the family in the 16th generation. Right from the word go she loved the radio and dancing while it played. I first noticed her dancing skill when she was still 2 years old. From then on she just caught my eye and soon became my favorite.
When she grew up she became a translator, which kept her busy, but she still found plenty of time for dancing. She inherited the house, and eventually married, having one child of her own (a girl named Pennetta) and adopting another child late in life.
She and her husband Lux died at the same time. It made me think of the quote: “If you live to be a hundred, I want to live to be a hundred minus one day so I never have to live without you.”
Here is a little 'home video' of her dancing.

Sorry that it's a little distorted. Unfortunately this was taken later in her life, so her once beautiful brown hair had dulled a bit.

Oh, I had a child pass away. His name was Hiro, second son of Pismo and Blondie. He died of a grave infection...I was too late to save him and the entire family, especially Blondie was so upset. Blondie in fact died in her late fifties and never got out of the depressed stage. I was nearly in tears. D:

I am close to having a child die, he has a grave infection, and he is really not getting too much better.

I've had the kid and dad die of starvation and infection. The mother had to start all over again but had a kid and remarried. It was sad. At least she has a new family though.

They can get remarried? shocked I did not know that. I've never had a single spouse die and not go onto the next generation. I'm going to start letting them both die, it's more realistic. Though generation 4 has been going on forever, both parents are in their late fifties, youngest child is 7, lol. She and her older sister, who is 13, are inseparable, always dancing and playing together smile I'll be sad when they all pass, they've been my favorite generation so far.

Yes they can remarry, but only if they have no surviving children to carry on the family, as appeared to be the case for Chocolatechip (see above post). I had one lady who married 3 times and still died childless. frown

My fave little person, Felania, and her husband just passed away. Felania was my first "Wise" person, and I doubt she would've lived that long if I hadn't given her antibacterial hand gel. The cat was also on the bed with her and her husband. frown

On VV3, my favorite villager, Tui, who practically FATHERED the entire tribe, just died. He was 77 years old.

I loved Tui because, even though he was bald most of his life, when he turned Elderly, he suddenly sprouted white hair. crazy

I made a quick generation, luckily. Lucielleiana was elderly, and had had twins the previous day. One died yesterday of starvation, and the other died today, and Lucielleiana and Thomas were gravely ill, but they managed to make one more child right before their deaths. Rosola, who has just married. My first villager will be a great great grandmother today. [That is, if she hadn't died.]
