On the topic of adding different races (good idea), it might be an easier task if the families weren't bi-racial. The skin tones would have to be mixed and such. But if the husband and wife were both African or Asian or so on, I can see it working. Not that I know anything about graphic work, but it makes sense... doesn't it? lol.
