Collectibles Question

I have found collectibles in all categories, except for the bugs/butterflies category. Well, I have found the butterfly in all three of my families, but never anything else. I see all the other ones quite frequently, but never any bugs, flies, or anything like that. What is going on? Is anyone else having this problem?

I am also unable to find bugs and the pictures. The coins have been coming up easily.
How did you sell the collection?

Thanks! I didn't think they'd go, I was just wondering if I missed an option somewhere. Thought maybe I could sell the coin collection, make some money, and start over! Since the coins appear so often... might have been an idea!

Has anyone found that you can train your family members to automatically find collectibles? I praise my people 2x each time I get them to grab one.

Okay, I have been playing this game since the day it came out. I am still missing 3 rare Nuts and Twigs, 3 rare bugs, and 1 uncommon bug. Where are they? Is anyone else having this problem.

How do you sell off a collection? I can't figure it out.
Thanks for a response.

Xay explained it in her post a little earlier in this thread.

Can it prabably has to do with the clock- or daytime when uncommon or rale collectibles appear?

Nope. The only things that affect the appearance of collectibles are that it must be raining or just stopped for the bugs to appear, and the shed door must be open for the picture pieces to start showing up.

On my game (virtual families for the ipodtouch/iphone), I am not getting *anything* but nuts and twigs. I almost have all the nuts and twigs except for the maple leaf.

i hardley ever get bugs. they seem to be soo rare even the common ones are. Yesterday i was lucky and found a rare bug.But it was like it was ultra rare because you can hardley ever find bugs.
when you dowload this thing can not remember what it is called the collectables glow. But so do the wrappers etc wich i find anoying.

In MissKathy's mod a glow seems to only be applied to the collectibles and weeds, but not to the other items.

In MissKathy's mod a glow seems to only be applied to the collectibles and weeds, but not to the other items. It was a special request of knksmiles husband to have glowing weeds added to Lyssaria's glowing collectibles mod (where socks, wrappers & weeds didn't glow). If you don't want glowing weeds then check out Lyssaria's original mod here. You can also search the Mod Section for different collectible mods. There are quite a few!
