I'm starting to believe all the children will look alike. My first family has 3 children all girls and they all look just alike. But children are going to bang dishes thats just what they do.

Haha. She can't be that bad. At least I dont think. Its my adults that I'm starting not to like. They didnt want to work. It took 2 or 3 days for them to get their first promotion. They were just lazy. But I didnt want to start them over because they had my first and so far only set of triplets. And I couldn't get them to have no more children.

My first family's eldest is 18, almost 19, and still hasn't left home. Detail screen says kids woud be nice. His twin sisters were 3 years younger, now they are 2 years younger. Is this a glitch?

As far as the age thing is concerned, it's probably because their "birthday" came and went and his hasn't yet. Like when you know someone that's a year or two younger than you but their birthday is earlier in the year than yours. For a while, if you just look at the numbers, they seem to be closer in age to you than they actually are.

Raepeerk, it's not a glitch. The kids age according to when they were born. Like my oldest daughter (in real life) was 2 years and 8 months when my second daughter was born. At first you could say she was 2 years older, but then when she had her birthday she was 3 years older. It's the same with the game, sometimes the kids appear to be 3 years older than a sibling and sometimes 2.
Also, about the kids looking alike, we have had that happen in most of the games going on at my house. I had a girl, Sonya, then had twin girls that looked exactly like Sonya. My daughter Jez has a family with 1 girl and 5 boys, and four of the boys look exactly alike. In fact, out of 5 games going on right now only one of us has no look alike kids. I wouldn't mind the look alikes in my game if they were only cute. Sonya was the ugliest little girl, then I had twins exactly the same. Urgh!

If you want to have smart children and want them to go to college: give the children encyclopedias

In one family I have 2 children and they look just like their parents. Its funny because both parents have black hair and big brown eyes. She is the second generation mother in that house and her daughter look just like her and her sisters did growing up.

I wanted to chip in on the "people doing things you can't stand" thing: maybe this will sound cruel, but I freely use the red hand when they do things I really don't like - for example, banging the dishes, drawing on the walls etc - and in turn use the green hand to cultivate activities that I think are nice. One thing I've found: if you set them on a new activity, for example, parents working, use the green hand twice if you want them to like that activity and do it on their own. They WILL start favoring that activity. Also, if you use the green hand 3 times in a row, they will get upset and tell you to stop nagging of course, don't praise them on EVERYTHING... then they won't know what to do :P But I've found this really works for me.
