Do the kids come home from college? My favorite boy just disapeared! Never even said goodbye! Seems like he would send an email or something.

How old is too old for the parents to have more kids? Mine or 48 now and after much coaxing the tried by no stork came. I was hoping that the kids moved next door and started a family. I so badly want to them to go out the gate! Is there ever a family reuion?

I think perhaps one parent must die before the transfer option shows up, however, I could be wrong.

That is what the game guide says, Xay....so I think you are correct.

My "test" family is going to do the transfer as soon as they can, but I am going to let my main family stay in the house until the end.

I believe that at least one parent has to die before you get the option. Don't worry...they die way too young in this game. frown

I have a family where both Dad and Mom have died, and there are still two kids at home. They're both deeply depressed and will probably starve if I don't start a new generation. I hate moving kids out of the house to do this though. I wish the creators had made it so that the new generation character would take care of the aging parent or siblings than remain. frown It's too hard to make them move out so the older sibling to take over.

When one or both parents die. If one is still alive she will have to move out to make room for the new generation. frown Somehow that doesn't seem right to me.

You don't want to make more babies after the parents are in their forties. I did this with my first family, and now both parents are dead with two children still in the home. It's hard to start a new generation and make them move out of the house, though I know if I don't they'll starve, since there's no longer anyone in the home earning money.

Aww. I wonder what will happen to mine. Both parents are in their 50s, now, but there's still a 6 year old and a 13 year old.

I finally decided I'd rather start a new generation rather than let the two kids still at home starve. Just in case they don't inherit their parents money I spent it on the house and food, and both were intact when the kid took over. smile That's good to know!
The following may be a possible spoiler, so I'm listing it as such. Read it if you feel you want to know what happens to the kids when the you start a new generation.
Click to reveal..
The game made all the kids, even the two that were underage, old enough to take over the house. That was such a relief, as I pictured them being put out on the street. The youngest was 12 when the last parent died, and is 23 now. I chose him, since I think the younger they start out the more chance they'll have to succeed.
I still don't know what would happen to a remaining parent when you change generations. Though I feel much better about the outcome of the remaining kids.

Hi Lesa! The peeps can't go out the gate...Wish they could though. And once they leave for college they don't come back until you choose one of them to take over using the "New Generation" button that appears after one of the parents die...Then only the one you choose comes back to the house. The good thing is they get to keep all the upgrades you made with the parents. I hope this helps!
Hugs,
Lewanda
