Hi, I was under the impression that at the age of 50 mother's couldn't give birth any longer but I just had a couple who did when the mother was 50 and the father 48 so when does it stop? I don't want a baby being born just for its parents to die or something! :S

Could a 46-Year-Old Female Have a Child?
Or has the max age of fertility even with the baby boost been reduced to 40 max?
Thank you. ^^

Well, I just tried an experiment with Briana and Bennett. She's 62 & he's 60. They opted to try, but he was done before she even got started. Typical. Guess maybe that's a bit too old since they have to be reminded to put their groceries away now.

I have had baby success at 54. That's so good to know HP! My oldest girl to have a baby was 47 - he was 49.

The oldest age reported in the forum for a mother is 54. Since the peeps slow down at 55 and start to forget things (like putting away groceries as MoonStar said), it looks like 54 is the oldest possible. As peeps get older the likelhood of their having children diminishes as well.

If I really need the kids to continue the game (if they have no adopted ones), I never let them be single after 35 - till this age it's sure they can have babies without trying a lot.

I was wondering... my couple is 49 (both) and I wanted to make them have a baby. At what age can they not have any more babies?

I don't think that there's a cut-off age for having children, usually they don't have any more after 50, but I've heard that some have children at 50-54, but rarely.

Apart from jpeg's post above, the oldest age for a mother to have a baby I've seen reported in the forum is 54. That makes sense, as the peeps become elderly and slow down a lot at 55. I suppose it might be possible for someone to father a baby at 60, but his wife would have to be under 55.

I agree with arnie. Because any time at all that I've tried to have a baby when the wife is over 54, I have failed. And even in the fifties the chances are small for me. So I would have to say that having a wife give birth at 60 would be unlikely, if not impossible.

My brother had a 50-year-old mother once in one of his old families (the father was 49, I think). And that couple's youngest child was 2 at the time this child was born, so they had two late in life children. Sadly, the father died in his late 50s and the mother at 60, so the kids were left alone at ages 12 and 10. That was the oldest mother I've ever seen in game - I've had quite a few peeps have children in their late 40s, some at 49, but never 50 or over since that one time.
