I have a family where both parents work in a kitchen profession and they have one 6 yo daughter.

Much of the daughter's playing is 'playing cook' in the kitchen along side the parents and even when they're not there. I think it's adorable!

None of the kids in my other families have done this, but this is the only family where both parents have like jobs. Any others?

My little boy copied his mum when she was working in the office and my little girl copied her dad playing in the workshop but i've not seen any of mine playing cook as I have no one in the kitchen, I'll have to keep an eye on my little ones and look at that!!

My main family has parents who both have kitchen jobs. Every one of the kiddies has "played cook" when they were little, although most are in college now. I wish I knew what profession the kiddies will have

I've had them play cook, play in the office and pretend to be daddy...It's cute and I have praised them if it's something I am hoping they will aquire an interest for...but I don't know yet since mine are still under 18

I've seen the girls in my family playing at each of the "career mimic games" at different times when I've been playing. I think my favorite is when they play cook!

Well, I had two parents with office jobs and their little peep kept wanting to cook...since he still doing this behavior and is 12 now I think he may be in the cooking profession....but who knows

I've had my little girls and boys 'play cook'. Haven't seen them mimic any other job professions, but they do have a tendency to 'play mommy' and 'play daddy'.
It's all so cute.

Interesting! I have a family with mom and dad both working in the kitchen, they had six kids and all of them liked to play cook. I never saw them play office even once. I did see the boys go into the workshop when they were little but that was to play daddy. All my kids are off at collage, so I don't know what profession they will choose yet. It will be interesting to see what they choose.
