You're not supposed to mess with the clock frown . It runs a lot like the Virtual Villagers series, and this is what can happen.

they probably die because you changed the clock, you're really not meant to... its probably actually cheating... in VV the mothers would get permanently stuck to their children..

I'm sorry if I'm notr very sympathetic, but it's like someone in a race taking a shortcut through the brambles and then complaining about the pain of all the scratches, all I can say is it's kinda your fault, I'm sorry for you but there's not much you can do about it because technically, your in the wrong...

There may be a backup file if you look hard enough but other than that I'm stumped

How is it cheating when there is no winning or losing? And it's not really changing anything, except maybe increasing the fun.

Emma, it might be that there is not enough food in the fridge.
Also, speed it up by one or two hours and check back then do it again. More events/emails this way too.

Be careful about changing the computer clock though since it can disrupt other things on your computer especially anti-virus.
Also, make sure you pause the game when changing the clock back to the correct time.

AND last but not least, LDW don't approve of changing the time forward so if there are adverse results, that's your problem.

It's not really a matter of "approval" that's involved here. We know how our games are designed, and we know the effects of continual clock changes on our games, as well as the operating system and applications that are running on a computer. It often causes problems and we discourage it for both technical and support reasons. smile

Operating systems, that's the word I was looking for! I settled for "other things". laugh

I see what you mean about theres no winning or losing, but admittedly, If you're going to get this game and then skip bits, what's the point? Maybe instead of time travelling just have multiple families on at the same time and experiment :P I find that fun enough to stop me from wanting to time travel

How do you have multiple families on at the same time????

That would be very cool, especially as waiting for the silly mother to drop her bundle of baby takes F O R E V E R!

Please give detailed instructions...

(Just FYI, I'm on my fourth family because none of them would have babies, but now finally, i have two 'definitely' want kids and they are popping them out like rabbits but the waiting is driving me insane! So I was seriously thinking about time travel!)

Click Menu, then click on the player name that's is displayed above the buttons. You'll see that you can have up to 5 player slots (games) going at once. Just select new player, type in a name, and click OK.
