I've been keeping an eye on the Insect collectable post and it seems that I am the only one that is having this problem. I've been playing for over 20 hours and through lots of rain and still have not seen an insect. I decided to try the suggestion in that post, to use a mod that changes the colors of the collectables and created rain for 2 of my families. Not one single insect showed up through 20 minutes of rain. I still have it running and I keep checking, but the bugs are a no show.

don't feel left out, I have only collected 2 insects, I think they are just rarer than the others?

I think that it's just a little strange that I've not seen one. I used the mod to change their color so that they would show up better, in case it was me just not seeing them. Three families, two rain storms for one of them, one that I started for one, and 4 for the third family and not one bug. I love the LDW games, I was given two of them for gifts and bought this one myself, and I've never had items just not show up.

Uninstalled, re-installed, now I have bugs!!!!!!!!!

With five families going, I have found only one bug with one family. I did get thehotfix and installed it, but I still have only the one bug for three days of playing.

I'll try reinstalling the game to see if that helps (note: reinstalling the game does not lose any of your progress or families)

when i tried to reinstall the game i didnt see "thehotfix". So i dont know where to go.

in VF there were e-mails from the neghibors saying that there were collectables in the grass,but i could not find any

I've already got the email from the neighbours saying there's a rare collectible in the garden and in all of those times I always found one.

Perhaps you just didn't notice it (some of them really hide well) or perhaps you took too much time going around the garden and it disapeared.

I got the e-mail as well, and found a collectible. I've also had a bit of a hard time finding bugs. I've finished my coin collection on one family, and am only missing one on the other, but only have 2 bugs. Once I downloaded the new version, I did find a few more. I think they might just be the harder group to find.

I've been playing VF since it came out and I am still missing two of the bugs. I have all the other collections completed and just upgraded with all the new fixes yesterday but still no new bugs. I will say though that some of those bugs are really tiny and tough to see. I've also only been playing with one family and in the second generation just to see if I could get that part completed. Really having fun with this game though, way to go LDW. Love it but still waiting on VV4.
