Hmmm...were you trying to use the editor on Village Sim 1.1? I tried that when I first installed v1.1, only to find error and thus I deduced that it doesn't work with v1.1 and I removed both the VS Editor and Toolkit.
It didn't corrupt my game, so I wonder why it does to yours.  In my case, the editor just refused to load properly because the Village Sim SaveGame.pdb is different in v1.1.
Like what Barbara said, it's best that you do a clean install of Village Sim 1.1 again.
