How do you put out fires?

you had a fire?!?!? didnt get that yet didnt no they have that but maybe you use the hose outsides?

For fires

I have a dryer fire (the lint's burning) and I do have the "required" thing done, but they won't put it out. I have been dragging them until they see what they need and then dropping them, but they still won't use it. Any suggestions?

Make sure the white circle that surrounds your selected person is surrounding the item in question before you drop them on it. Also, I've found it helpful to drop them on the problem (in front of the dryer, in your case) until they say "OH!" then take them to the solution. They should take over from there.

All i was doing wrong is that "White Circle" thing, i was playing gate on Window mode, now i m on Full screenmod everything is clear and visible :P

if you leave it alone long enough, all fires will burn out by themselves, and won't damage anything.

Thanks Chaitanya and Xay. I had already completed the necessary puzzle and had also made sure that my little guy was aware of the fire. I think the thing I was doing wrong was not dropping him directly on the item necessary to put the fire out. I gave up finally and exited then when I went back in, it was out. Solved that problem, lol!

So, I picked a girly girl pretty similiar to myself and not 5 minutes into the game I get the leaky faucet. There was no cause to it from what I could tell. I couldn't find a virtual phone to call my dad, or a neighbor, or anyone (I have to pay more attention). I kept dropping my gal on the water and on the sink and she wouldn't turn the faucet off or mop up the water.

I only got the hour free version to see what it was like, now reading these posts I just have to laugh at myself. I can't wait to buy the game!

Victoria, there's a certain spot in the shed you must put your person to get him to fix it.

how do you get in the shed? anyone know where the key is? I have a clogged shower,and I am running around trying to find out how to fix it with my little person.Help please! thanks for helping.

Phyllis, if your shower is *clogged* then you don't need an item from the shed..you need...

I did the steps involved for the shed puzzle..but my characters still get "confused" on the last part--to get the key. How do I get them to get the key--everytime I try they just get confused and don't get the key!
