What speed do you have on your game?

The crops are on a cycle, and always grow at the same rate. The number of minutes it takes for them to grow depends on how quickly you harvested them the last time.

The time also adjusts if you change the time setting on the options screen from faster to slower or the other way around.

Your tribe doesn't require a large amount of food while your population is low. You can really get by with the minimum of 300-500 pieces for a small tribe under 10. I would just rotate a single farmer on the crops, as you need one.

I hope that helps! laugh

It was on 2x speed.

But crops had never taken 634 minutes before.

Maybe thirty minutes...but not 634

The crop timer should never change suddenly if the game is running on a computer with a stable system clock that hasn't been adjusted. The most frequent cause of a crop time that long is that there has been a change in the computer's system clock. Even it you didn't adjust the system clock, it can be inadvertently changed if you double-click that little Windows clock in the bottom right corner to check dates and times (a lot of people do that without realizing that it changes anything on their computer). Also, Windows has the ability to set the computer's clock using an Internet time reference, so if the clock was inaccurate the resulting time correction could affect the game.

My clock was off due to time travel in VV1. SO I paused VV2, and changed the time (to the right time)
