First of all, kudos to the programmers! I have downloaded lots of free trials but nothing ever got me excited enough(or should I say addicted enough) to spend money. This is the first one that got me to commit Perhaps I will need to be committed becaus I am now a total addict.

Is there any way to increase the number of fish a tank will hold? I have two tanks and use the sale tank as a holding place for babies I'm breeding for cash. (I have definitely figured out how to make money!) But I'd like to keep a bigger variety of the fish I find and breed so that I can continue to create interesting fish. Unfortunately, I inevitably run out of room and have to sell something. Any suggestions?

I'm level 3 on food and environment and level 2 on advertising which I should be bumping up to three shortly. I've got the aerator, the temperature regulator and the snail, the nutrition and incubation plants, and the shell, pagoda and diver. I have four Greenfin Spotanus (two in each tank) that I breed for cash and I also have one Speckled Leafish. I also have a pair of Crimson Quicksilvers I'm breeding for cash.

Any suggestions appreciated! Great game!

Welcome to the community of Fish Tycoon addicts!

The limited tank space has caused all of us a certain amount of agonizing over which fish to keep and which ones to sell! Unfortunately, there is no way to increase the tank capacity! That's probably one of the most popular requests for Fish Tycoon - more room for fishies!

Definitely should be an "expansion pack" to add in the future, don't you think?

I would have mixed feelings on adding another tank. If you have more tanks, that would just make it easier. And what fund would that be?

I think a little more room would allow us to be creative and more organized in our breeding - no matter what our goals. Right now, my goal is to get all the magic fish which means I need to be able to keep enough breeds to come up with the right combination. After magic fish 4, this gets tougher, albeit part of the fun.

After several false starts, I now have a system that works pretty well...I use my second tank as my "cash cow" tank and keep pairs of the top five money makers and breed as needed. As the babies hatch, I move them directly to the selling tank since I know that is their purpose. My second tank also serves as spillover or a place to hatch new eggs and since I move new babies right away, there is generally room. I am finding, hfor eggs, medicine, growth hormome or the "unknown chemical" (The latter was kind of fun!) And I can't purchase eggs until I have room

My first tank I use to hold one as of many different breeds as I can so that I can come up with a combination to create the next fish I am looking for...thanks to Creative Arts...their database makes that a lot easier!

As I said, right now my goal is to get all the magic fish. The next game will be to find all the fish in each breed...more fun of a different kind.

Thanks for all the help in this forum...I'm doing great as a result!

I would love to have a few more tanks! There are so many fish that I would love to just be able to look at

Exactly... and especially with the Screensaver feature, you could have a few more "specialty" tanks to watch while your screensaver was on. I've always loved creating a Shark tank, as they look so neat against the brightly colored tanks, but usually have to give some of them up to make room for other "keepers". Of course, there are 5 Players available to create special tanks in. But then I'd just beg for a "swap" feature between Players! lol

...hmmm... not a bad idea.

I have found a way to create a third tank for breeding...it's probably something most of you already do but...

I used my "cash cows" to keep building money and finally bought everything there was to buy in Supplies. Then I built up a reserve a cash to have on hand. Once I did that, I stopped breeding the "cash cows" but kept them in Tank Two in case I needed to make more money. Now I use the selling tank purely as a breeding place and I can have twice as many fish!

Thats about what I do only, I sell off all but 2 of my "cash cows" to save space. If I see that im starting to need cash I will start to produce more of them. I find that 90% of the time I need space more than money.
