I don't have time just now to search the archives--my apologies if this has been addressed numerous times. I'm running out of time.

My problem is one I've never experienced in an ldw game before. I still have the original men, and one son was born early on. But now the originals are elderly. And of the 12 children born since the beginning, there has been only that one boy. I'm going to lose this game because of some genetic disorder? I was about to embark on a rash of pregnancies hoping against hope for at least one boy. But the message came that a larger population could not be supported without the new hut. And my youngest child is now 7. Any thoughts on how to get boys? Special potions I should know about--assuming I can get the hut done before all the men die off...

It can be very tense when you're in that situation, but there is nothing that you can do to influence the gender of babies born into the tribe. The best thing that you can do for your tribe right now is to get everyone working on that new hut, so that you will have the ability to produce more children (as the food supply allows). You could wait until there is room in your tribe to make more babies, but that may delay things more than you want.
