hi all, first off i just want to tell you that im new to this game...my friend gave me a hardly used palmone treo 600,scince he bought 2 new ones for his wife and himself..so i was looking for games too download and i found this game and i would like too give koudos to the developers of this game! i played it for 1 hour then decided too buy it.the game doesnt seem like much intill you start too play then now i can not put it down!
anyway my question is that some villagers will not stay doing some tasks that i have started them on. i am now doing the puzzle with the field...most villagers will not stay doing the "task" too solve it..(dont wont too say it to spoil it).i have tech 2 for all except medicine. i have solved puzzles 1,2,3,6 so far. is there something im not having them do...and yes i have read the guide and the spoiler but just wondering if i have missed something...thanks

First, this is very typical! Them little villagers are the laziest bunch of people I ever had to work with. They’ll work a little and then, want to take a break, or something. What do they think this is? America? WELL THEY ARE WRONG, WRONG I TELL YA!

So just keep at them, and move them back to where they are supposed to be working. Another thing you should check is that the box for this skill is checked. This will help, not at lot, but it will help a little.

You really only need medicine to keep you villagers alive who know how to do their tasks---albeit they have the attetion spans of gnats. You'll learn what the people look like who "usually" stay on task. If everyone did what they were supposed to do, you'd quickly finish the game. They are all individuals who add the necessary challenge as I see it. Right now I have one woman who is almost a master farmer. I've yet to figure out how that happened since she spends most of her time wandering around.

well i have 4 adult villagers, one of them is 63 and is the oldest living so far...the rest have dided but i have about 6 kids running around, the oldest is 12.i have noticed that my game runs quicker when i shut off my palm.but if i leave it on and play the game doesnt run that fast. yes...i have the game speed at "fast". for that puzzle mention earlier what is the "skill" i should have on?...i have farming and my villager is a master..i have tried constrution(with a higher level)..i have tried with a master scienctist, not one of them will continue doing the task with the "field" puzzle. is this a bug? i have had them watering the field from the stream about 200 times and nothing has happened.(sorry about the slip on the puzzle)what tech and what level do i need?...i have tech 2 on all techs. thanks for you help...:)

Since your adult population is very small, it will take a long time for them to complete that puzzle. You already have everything you need (except maybe a little more patience)!

Warren,
I don't know if this is relevant or not---you know I use a Treo. My field just will no longer happen; but, as Barbara said, you need more people.

Gail, that must just be with VS 1.1, cuz when I played 1.0 on my Treo, I did not have that problem. Hmmmmm. Also, running 1.1 I seemed to get the field a lot faster then with 1.0. I only had two workers do’n their stuff (actually I had them working on the puzzle on the lower left-hand corner) but they wanted to work on the field. (I need a bigger whip!!!!)

Well these little villagers don’t take to positive adjustments. Believe you me, I’ve tried that countless times. All they do is thumb their nose at you. So I’ve learned to walk softly and carry a big stick when it comes to them. I know it sounds mean, but it is really the only way these little guys know how to learn.

Hahaha! Gail, I have tried drowning those annoying ones too. But now I just give up on them because they seems to pick up skills pretty fast. Back in v1.0, I had a hard time training them. Now it seems relatively easy.

Warren, I didn't know we can use whip, so I didn't get mine.

No Warren...the same glitch exists with both versions. My Treo is really beginning to be a pain.

I just hit the do-nothing villagers with their laundromat. Of course nobody has told me that I must heal them when they get sick. I'm a teacher, not a medicine woman.
