Hi everyone. I have VV2 & 3 and wondered if it's worth buying VV1. I've downloaded the trial and although the graphics aren't near as good as the other two, if it's fun & different to the others, I wondered if it's worth buying. I do get a little bored with the other two once the puzzles are completed. Also where do the dead go in VV1?
thanks.

There is a place for the dead in VVI, it's one of the puzzles to figure out. I've played all three, and VVI is my least favorite. It's a great game, and it might be a good idea to cruise through the comments here in the forum. Honestly, if you have VVII and III you may find VVI fun for the different puzzles, but there is not much to do after the puzzles are done. Read the comments regarding the golden child...

I'd say it is. Each game is a unique set of puzzles and awesome in itself.

You know, contrary to most people it would seem... I actually find VV1 to be the most 're-playable'!

I've played all of them countless times, started lots of tribes - I love all the games. But I do find I can come back and start VV1 and it's the most enjoyable.

The reason I can come up with is it's the most challenging, especially on hard mode. With VV1 there's always the possibility you won't make it, but I've found with 2 and 3 the majority of times all your original villagers survive. It's mostly because of stews and potions - even if you populate a ridiculous amount, you can keep them all alive with strategic feeding of the right herbs.

I think that the uncertainty and struggle is what makes VV1 so enjoyable as a game - sometimes it feels that 2 and 3 play themselves a little bit.

So my advice is make up your own mind...if you like VV2 and 3 then stick to them, but if you want something similar but a bit different then get VV1!

Thank you both very much for your answers. I bought it as I have been playing the trial and I actually like the simple graphics, plus I'm addicted to little villagers.

I'm going on holidays for a week, so I won't have the internet and plan to play it then with no help. Should be fun.

Thanks again everyone. smile
