I can't even get past the splash screen "Created by Last Day of Work" It stays at that screen for about 20-30 seconds and then crashes. My iPhone software is up to date.

Do you have an iPhone or an iPod touch? How many applications do you have installed on your device? Have you tried resetting your device?
Sometimes after installing applications, the iPhone or iPod touch will require a restart or reset. This is not unique to our iPhone games, but occurs with many applications after installing new software. The following procedures provide the steps for both restart and reset of the device.
Usually a simple restart is all that is required to restore proper operation to all installed applications.
Restarting and Resetting
If something is not working right, restarting or resetting your device will likely solve the problem.
Restart:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears. Slide your finger across the slider to turn off your device. To turn the device back on, press and hold the Sleep/Wake until the Apple logo appears.
Reset:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

I have an iPhone. Including the apps that were pre-installed, I probably have about 25-30 apps. I tried the restart, which now lets me get to the screen allowing me to touch play, start over, etc. However, before I can even touch play, it crashes.

Please try the reset procedure, too, to see if you notice an improvement.
We are working on a fix to the problem. It appears to be related to the way the iPhone handles memory usage, and the more apps you have installed, the more likely it is that you'll have problems. The iPhone is more susceptible to this issue than the iPod touch. I have all nine screens filled with apps on my iPod touch (some of them 50-70 megs) and have not seen the crash yet, although I'm still working on reproducing it.

Thanks for that information, Barbara. At least that will give us another option when advising people with this problem, until we can find a fix to correct the problem.

How many villagers do you have in your game, Laurence? How many applications are on your iPhone in total?
