I hope I'm doing the right thing - not sure when you need to put spoiler, but I see it a lot.

I just purchased Virtual Villagers 3 last night. I have VV2, but I'm a newbie at VV3. I remember seeing something about a seed, and I thought I got one of them to plant it, but it seemed like it was taking forever. Then when I got the lift to work to retrieve the 2nd seed, and planted that, I realised I don't have the same xx hours anywhere else, so it seems I've lost my 1st seed. I've searched everywhere.

Is there anything I can do? I love my Villagers so don't want to start a new tribe. Thanks.

I think that you can continue. You may use the lift as often you want and you may plant other seeds. Just wait the rain coming and use it again.

Also, since posting, a few of my villagers died (so sad), so I started again and got the first seed planted. I don't think I was ever going to get them enough food with just mushrooms.

"Spoiler"; that's what we add when we speak about somethings that other gamers would prefer to discover by themselves.

I'm sorry for your villagers. You must find something else than just mushrooms. Take a villager and bring him around the village looking what is said on the lines at the bottom of the screen.
Or you may try to look at the VV3 guides, there are some tips that could help you!!

Thanks Laurence. I'm having better luck with my next tribe, well actually my 3rd tribe. The 2nd tribe had one of those villagers that walk soooo slow they come over to celebrate something when everyone else has left and gone back to their thing (learned from VV2), they drive me crazy. I like the villagers that run, and I have quite a few fast ones in my 3rd tribe.

OK, I understand spoiler now. I have read a guide a little, but I'm trying not to read too much as I would like to make the game last longer than VV2 as I read a really good guide for that and it made it quite easy, but still heaps of fun.

I'm wondering if I should buy the science at 11,000 to earn tech points faster or save for faction 2 (nature). I wonder if the 11,000 helps you get to the 50,000 faster, or slows you down as you lose 11,000. I like to have enough food, and now I have all 3 trees planted I need to organise my fishies.

Edit: So once spoiler is in the title, I can say what I like right? I won't let any secrets out that I'm not supposed to?

Yes, you can mention other spoilers once a spoiler tag is in place. But you should keep in mind that many people read the forums to get help, as well as discuss their games. When a thread wanders all over the place, it becomes less useful for the community at large. It's usually better to make a new thread when you want to discuss a different aspect of the game.

it depends of how is the tribe with the food, but, generally I buy the science before the faction! So it goes a little faster!

Thanks to LadyCFII & Laurence. I see people get in trouble all the time at forums for starting threads, so I get scared off doing that, but I'll try it after searching if I can't find the answer. I got a little desperate for a quick answer to help my little villagers as I hurt the 1st tribe.
