HP, as typical, I agree with you sentiments. You make a very kind effort toward reasonable discourse.

I still haven't played MT enough to make many comparisons...I've only played the demo laugh

I did see some obvious similarities in...how do I explain...the preference bars, intro and whatnot, and some dissimilarities...graphics and "enhancements" such as ability to select multiple tasks, birthing and such. VV is an "open-ended" game and MT, from what I've read is a game with a definitive ending. Personally, I've become accustomed to open-endings though admittedly...it confused me at first laugh

But the likes and dislikes I mostly wanted to share are these...

I really like several Grubby gamers. Though the meeting was less than ideal for some, the folks at Grubby can be very nice...and generous! I have won two free games from the forum...well, they're just giveaways...it doesn't take much to win laugh and have received what little help I've needed easily. They seem to have a genuine interest in moving past any upset and are very willing to make new friends smile I like that. And the developer has been responsive in queries both PM and posting.

My dislike is as it has been...the battle between gamers. And this is pure speculation but...I think the idea to implement VV ideas into MT was really an attempt to expand on what the developer saw as a good idea. I realize many feel the similarities were "too close for comfort" and while I'm willing to let those more qualified than me hash that out, I haven't gotten the impression that this was a malicious attempt to deprive LDW. I'm sure the responces Grubby received has caused at least some opportunity to ponder those choices themselves. laugh

I, too, look forward to discussion...just out of my own curiousity...about similarities, dissimilarities, likes and dislikes...MT is still a bit of a mystery to me. (I could've picked it as a free game but felt awkward considering the circumstance so I picked Prof Fizzwizzle which has nothing to do with islands and seems a neat kid-friendly strategy game.)

But I wanted to ask if you mind if I share your heartfelt words with others to encourage discussion and healing? smile
