I used the unknown chemical today for the first time. I saw no change in my grown fish or the babies. I didnt even see a change in their health. What is it supposed to do?

That chemical affects only a small percentage of the fish in the tank where it's used, so it's best to use it when your tank is full to increase the chances of seeing something happen. It works immediately, so any effect will be observable right away.

I payed very close attention to the fish after I used the chemical last. Who ever it was who said to watch the fins was right. 99.9% of the changes I saw was in the fins:)

if you put the chemical in one tank, does it's affects apply to the other tanks? (tank 2 and sale tank)

Anything you put into the tanks from one of the 4 slots (food, medicine, chemicals, eggs) works only in the tank into which you place it. The fish in other tanks will not be affected.

it also will not affect the isolation tank.

Some things do work on a fish in isolation, and some don't! How's that for consistency?!?
