I know. Time warping can cause all sorts of strange glitches and can mess up your game. I must admit, when I first played the game I did try putting the time forward. I put it forward two real hours at a time to make the crops grow faster. BIG MISTAKE! My tribe ended up starving to death because the crops had about 9 hours until they could be harvested. . I don't time warp any more, and I stongly advise those who do to stop. Parents also get really cross when the system clock says 2:00 am when its 6:00 at night.
