confused Is this unusual, as this has never happened before when I played my game on my main puter I never had the algae after playing for at least a week and only had it happen after the dam is completed. Not even gone there yet.

This is the history of my village from when I opened it:

Started off as normal. I had my first event fish for the birds and since my villagers needed food to tast the fish, My villagers got 250 food, My next event was soupy fog and when the fog lefted The villagers found a (can't remember the spelling) something on researching and my villagers gain 1500 tech points. So I was able to buy farming after earningthe rest of the tech points in one hour.

The next strange thing was the coconut trees as expected had 1500 coconuts to harvest. Yet my farmer did not bother to harvest the coconuts, but instead go fishing. After catching so many fish he decided to harest the coconuts. Then there were 1482 coconuts, which I expected. Then my farmer decides to fish again and I check the coconut trees and was surprised to find there was 1500 coconuts left to harvest again and I wonder where the extra coconuts came from.

After playing for 3 to 4 hours my farmer went back to harvesting the coconuts which by now had 1494 which ment he harvested another 6 coconuts. Then I noticed the green algae in the ocean. So I wondered if I had my game on hard and checked the options and it was on easy and slow, This happened yesterday. confused

PS I took the pic tonight as I had no time to take it last night.

Did you have any other tribes going when you started this one?

It was my first game However I did start another game in the second one down. so I did leave it for a short while and I went to options to put the second game on hard to see how it would play on hard and then back to my first after pausing the second game. Would that effect the first one as I put the first one on pause before starting the second on game hard. I just wanted to see the difference between hard and easy. It was half an hour later the algae happened. Another thing When I put my villager in he ocean it said at bottom yuk got algae but I did not get the pop up to say of finding the algae eating fish like I had in my other games on my other puter

PS I started the second game before the algae happened in my first game half an hour before the algae happened in my first game. Sorry I sound a bit confusing.

PS2 eek The algae has happend in my second game and I believe that my first game is effecting my second game. I am wondering whether to delete my second game or leave it andsee how it plays out. The only thing I can do is put my second game on pause and not play it until I completed the puzzles in my first then go on to my second game later what do anyonne think?

Normally, once a game is started, it is not affected by any other game slot. However, a new game started in a new player slot will have the settings from the last player slot that was active. If you start a game on hard, and then change it to easy, you will have a game that still has some characteristics of a hard game.

The only way to truly start a new game with different settings than the other player slots is to change the settings in the new game to what you want and then click Start Over on the menu. That way, you know that everything will be set up properly with those settings.

Thank you for the infomation so when I start a new game from scratch then changed the settings then restart it in the settings I want. Now I know what to do next time. Since I started the game I will start over in my second game and as I can start it in the settings I wanted and I leave the first game as it is as in this one my tribe are making good progress and doing well, in the second one I thinkthey will die of hunger as the coconuts were almost gone and only started to build a dam as I got an event that give my villagers 3500 tech points at the start of the game, when I bought farming level 2 was shocked to find they only had 750 coconuts. That is why I am thinking of starting over.
