My little villiagers don't seem to reproduce on their own unless I help them. Also my oldest game going, in the last week they've only given birth to males. My females are starting to get old and even die off. They've had several babies in the last couple of days and they are always male children.

Thanks,
Marci.

Do you have your villiagers set to parenting? If you want them to do it on their own, you have to check mark next to parenting in the detail screen.

The villagers rarely produce equal numbers of boys and girls; the genders are randomly determined. In real life I have only grandsons and no granddaughters.

There has been a lot of discussion in the forum about that situation ever since Village Sim was released in early 2005. smile The gender imbalance usually corrects itself. If you start to get in a real bind, you can always research Medicine tech to prolong the lives of the females that you DO have.
