I haven't played VV2 for a long while - probably since VV3 came out. I have had more time because I've been at home during the holiday period so I reopened the game. Four of the five tribes were still going, although all needed switching some villagers to parenting, as there were few if any kids and most villagers were elderly.

One of the tribes was down to seven villagers. All but two were elderly. Luckily the two others were 18-year-old girls. They were immediately made parents, and twelve Isola years later have repopulated the village with 10 kids, with another four babes in arms. Sadly, four of the elderly villagers have since died, but one 73-year-old man remains, for a while at least, to father more kids I hope. Once he dies the kids will have to take over repopulating the village in six years or so.

One of the tribes had completely died out so I restarted the game. They've now reached a population of 42 and have completed all the puzzles, with four EEs so far.

The four babes in arms in the previous screenshot are now running around and their mothers have two new babies to look after. Below is a shot of the proud father and mothers with these latest additions, triplets Jade, Jem, and Itchi, together with their half-brother Saku.

The last elderly man, Paul, has died. There was a short gap until the oldest boy, Laki, became old enough to take up the fathering duties. The population is now up to 26.

Fresh blood!

Two new villagers have fallen down the waterfall! Below is a shot of the villagers celebrating their arrival. Their names are Boga and Tin. Boga has black hair and Tin is blond, so the redheaded tribe is likely to have a few more hair colours added!

The new arrivals are nice looking too - and they are young adults. You are going to have some very handsome villagers there Arnie. laugh

It's interesting to go back to VV2 and visit old tribes or start new ones. I even go back to VV1 and see how they are getting along. It's like that old song, "Everything Old is New Again".

Please keep us posted on this tribe's progress, it's like writing a new serial for us laugh

While I was at work the village increased in numbers to 59, including a second set of triplets; again, all cute red-headed girls. They are Tipa, Tiki, and Titta, and their parents are Coho and Jem.

The village has completely recovered now, and is at the maximum population (at least, for the present). I've still to complete any of the collections.

One of the original 18-year-old girls, Mucha, has become an Esteemed Elder! She's now 62 and the oldest person in the tribe.

The other original "sister" who was 18 when I resurrected the tribe has become an Esteemed Elder. Koa is now 71 (as is Mucha).

Both Koa and Mucha have now died. frown

However, I found that a further seven villagers had become Esteemed Elders. Counting the totems gained by the tribe's ancestors, they now have 18, with several more well on the way.

I may have got the villagers up to maximum population a little too fast. Since the two oldest villagers were only 61 when the milestone was reached, there was a period of 15 years when no babies could be born. That meant I have just one boy, Kaki, in the tribe. The next eldest is 16. Also, the oldest villager is Tin, aged 61, so by the time he dies Kaki is likely to be working. Let's hope I can complete some collections! I just need one rare shell and one uncommon beetle to complete those collections; two butterflies and three pebbles.
