I got "addicted" to this game by playing the trial...

Now that I've got the full version of VV1, it seems to not be so fun....

There are no events in my Village! My villagers just go about doing their tasks and whatnot, and no events have taken place. In the trial, I had monkeys dropping food and mixing up the barrel of food, I had crates washed on shore, etc... Now, nothing... is this some kind of glitch or what? I've started over 3 times already after playing for 30 hours and coming to sort of a dead end with everything.

Any advice?

Thanks!

Are you pausing the game often? That can cause a dramatic reduction in the number of Island Events that occur, since events will not occur if the game was paused when one was scheduled to happen. Also, if your computer's system clock was somehow adjusted after you installed the game, either by a person or by the computer's operating system, you may see no Island Events, since the game uses the computer's system clock to determine when the next event should happen.

Well, I just had the first event occur... the oily blue liquid!

No, I haven't paused it once, or adjusted the time! Hmm... maybe its just waiting for me to stop working my villagers so much!

Thanks smile

Normally you'll get two events in the first hour, after about 15 minutes and 30 minutes later. Thereafter they should occur about every 24 hours, provided you haven't paused the game and you have at least one adult villager.

It sounds like you aren't waiting long enough. You'll only get events after the first hour 24 hours after the last one.

Depending upon how often you check on the game, you should see events every 12-22 hours (assuming that the game is not paused during that time). As long as the game was launched fairly often, which it seems to have been, 30 hours should have been enough time to have seen at least one more event, unless the game was paused or the system clock was changed.

Yea, I've been playing 74 hours and only 3 events!

i don't pause the game unless I'm sleeping. I work at a desk for 12 hours a day, so I usually leave it running in the background and check it every few minutes while I'm in the middle of downtime at work. lol.

And then, I'm playing it at home too... I take my laptop home at the end of the night. Hmm.. I don't know! Maybe events just don't like me! lol.

If you want to see more events, put the game on slow speed overnight instead of pausing it. smile

Rrreeally..? hmmm!

Would the speed make a difference in how many events I see? cause I HAVE been playing it at 2x.... I just checked it. I thought my people were getting old really quick! lol!

The events occur after a randomly determined number of hours (real, human hours) has elapsed. Game speed has no effect, except when the game is paused. No events happen while the game is paused, and 'scheduling' of events won't resume until the game is unpaused.
