As Many of you know, and I've found out, there is so much more to do in Fish Tycoons than just find the 7 Magic Fish!
You can also make the 21 Perfect Fish. A tank with those 21 swimming around is sooooooooo pretty!
Then you find ALL the fish! What a silly sense of accomplishment it is to have the statistics say that you've found them ALL! (And quite an accomplishment, as it takes alot of time and effort and thinking to do it!)
And of course you can just make and play with fish! That is perhaps my favorite part. I love just taking two fish and breeding them, and watching the baby grow up and turn into a new little creation.
Fish Master 7 posted a fast game time, and Archmage and I have set new records. 14, and now Archmage's 13 hours to run a whole game and find the Seven Magic Fish. Now THAT is FUN! It takes alot of plotting and thinking ... and a BIG chunk of time to play the game that quickly! -- And we invite others to beat our scores! If you can take screen shots of your stats, I could post them and we could have a silly "Hall of Fame" page on my website. (If that would be okay)
But still being new at the game, I was wondering if there are more challanges in the game that others have found.
I would love it if in a new version, "Sets" of Magic fish could be downloaded. --- Maybe a new set a month or something, and challanges could be run on who could find them the quickest ... and even who month after month would continue to play and find them. Of course all that is just dreaming ..... .... so back to the point.
Are there other ways you play the game???? And what is your favorite?

Hi. I was thinking of starting a new game over but on a harder level of difficulty. Maybe that would add a new challenge? Maybe I should ask my therapist first.

I've been doing the easy difficulty. How are the harder ones different?

Well, after defeating the game (all 441 I mean, not just the Magic 7) I decided to try to beat the fastest to the 7 Magic Fish record... Never, ever thought I could do it, but not only did I do it, I did it in 11 hours! No cheating either.. though I do admit to do the 441 I did advance the clock. But I wanted to try to beat the record above board, though I think I've never had such a bad case of numb butt! lol I attached the screenshot of the stats. Most of you probably won't believe me, but I thought I'd share that it can be done if you get lucky with fish, and use tons of vitamins and growth hormone. I might add by the way, that this is on level 2 everything. I started level 3 environment but got all the Magics before the research was done. Anyway, thanks LDW for an awesome game, I'm looking big time forward to FT2 and VS for Windows!! Tara

Congratulations, Tara!!! Isn't it an awesome undertaking! You have to take one whole day, and give it to the fishies! Pretty tricky breeding the Magics on Level 2, too! It almost makes me want to try again! ......... almost! I don't think I could take the sitting that long again!!! I'll put you on the Fishie Hall of Fame on my Fishie Website! (when I make it .. which will have to be SOON!) I'm worried about VS for Windows coming out!!! Between fish and little people, I may never get the dishes done again! YIKES!

Thanks GB! I fell down the stairs a couple weeks ago and found FT when I was looking for a new tycoon game (I'm a tycoon junkie.. Monopoly, Tycoon City, Zoo Tycoon, all of them! and a bunch more) to kill time while I was stuck not working. I work from home anyway, but this is definitely going to make it hard to go back to working on my business! I hear ya on VS, but what I want to know is: when did you find time to do anything but the fishies in the first place, let alone in the future?? lol
Oh and it wasn't tricky to breed the magics on 2 - it was just darned EXPENSIVE!!
Tara
edited to add: oooh, look forward to seeing the hall of fame - and someone beating my time! (sure it's already happened though)

Yeah, just a few.. rofl Glad to hear you'll still find time for your 'puter fishies - they ARE real you know And sadly (for my fish) yes, I am almost pain free so next week it will be back to work. It'll be hard since I'm my own boss, but if I don't work, no mortgage, which means no aquariums for the fishies.. lol Tara

I understand the business stuff. I am a freelance writer and I've only had tiny contracts for the last few months but yesterday I signed a contract for a job that will keep me VERY busy the next 5 weeks... poor fishes, they will get minimal attention.
