I've seen references on GrammaBobbie's site and in a few posts about the Twin-Fin spot being a magic fish. Is this really a magic fish or is it dubbed magic simply because its so rare since only spots and make spots and only twins can make twins?

It's the Greenfin Spot that is Magic .. If I said it was the twinfin, it was one of my 'senior moments'.

The Greenfin Spotanus is the Magic Fish of Fertility - my favorite because it give you an extra baby from each mom in it's tank!

The Twinfin Spot is one of the 21 "Perfect Fish"... an unofficial goal some of us try to achieve after finding the Magic Fish.

I like the twin-fin beta better than the twin-fin spotanus. Who decided which fish are perfect? :P

lol, well that is true. I like the Tiger Bananafish better than the Flagged Bananafish. And as there is never such a thing as perfect anyway, then it really doesn't matter. An unofficial goal of "perfection" can be what ever you want it to be. For certain, it will always be interesting.

"Perfect" means fins and bodies that fits. Some fin, some color. Some day i'll post the perfect fish.

And the wayt to tell that a fish is perfect is that when it is bred with another perfect fish, it will result in a third perfect fish.

Or... if you breed two fish totogether that has swapped fins and bodies, it will also breed a perfect fish. Think about it!

i.e. a twin-fin shark and a silky spot will produce the same fish as a silky shark and a twin-fin spot!
