I have been playing Fish Tycoon for about two weeks now. I havent made any insane progress. I have three magic fish, bought both enviornment researches, the first advertising research, food research, all four magic plants, and that stupid starfish. Is it worth it to buy the second food and advertising research?

Also, should I have made better progress by now? I feel like im doing really bad by everyones posts....

Most of it depends on how you want to play the game. If you play it for the fun of the fishes, crossing fish and searching for Magic Fish, it sounds you are doing fine!

If you want LOTS of money ... then the second advertising research will help you raise prices on your fish. I never get the third food till I run out of things to buy.

The more money you have, the more Growth Hormone you can buy and so can breed the fish faster.

Or you can go about the game 'scientifically' and figure out the breeding patterns and 'how' to breed the fish and get the type you want. That's the direction I went, and went totally manic with the game.

It's not really a game to beat, as much as it's a game to have fun with and enjoy. So if you're having fun ... keep feeding the fish!

BTW, I did buy the last advertising research. Wow! did it make a difference! I can't get over how much more I can charge and how much faster my fish sell!

well ive got magic fish no 6 before #4 & #5 which has baffled me...? but hey it was a magic moment when it arrived.

I got #1 as part of the original eggs when you start the game.

My next magic fish was #6, which I bred through the liberal application of vitamins to fish that should not have been living in my level of tank.

Those are my only two so far. I have to watch carefully which threads I read to avoid spoilers. :-)
