My first Chief has died and now I am looking for my 2nd chief. Yet since the chief died I have had about 20 villagers born and not one them including the villagers that were around when the chief was alive are chief material(robe doesn't fit). Is there age at which they can try the robe on or is it any age? Thanks!

It could be anyone, what I do is to try the oldest first, and I keep going until I get the youngest, (just to get One of the awards, having a Chief for 50 years)
What might have happened is that if you had a nursing mother, she couldn't try the robe.
Just keep trying and be sure that it says "trying the robe"

Yes, the chief can be any age but nursing moms can't try the robe...they have to put the baby down first. I usually pause my game and gather villagers to the robe. It helps me get each villager and not accidentally overlook one...or two

Finally got the 2nd chief but the weird thing is I tried Obi at least 3 or 4 times(there is only one Obi in my village) and for some reason he is chief now. Thanks for everyone's help!

Good luck with finding your second chief! My first chief began as a little girl, and wouldn't you know it, her replacement was the baby that arrived with the original group of villagers. So yes, my second chief began her 'rule' at the tender age of 67.

hmmm. another observation - all of my chiefs have been female.

Congratulations on finding your second cheif sometimes that happens to me that the robe does nto fit anyone in the tribe & then it turns out to be the oldest member of the tribe lol
