The fun of the game is to discover them for yourself!  There are some discussions in other threads that contain some good fish that people have found.

Fun for some people, yes, but not for all of us. Heck, that's why some of us want at least a money cheat. I'd be happy to breed and discover things on my own if I could just do the bloomin' research a little faster and had less dead fish. Or more money to start out with then $300. Considering it takes almost half of that just to buy extra eggs, not to mention that your fish almost always get sick in Help Mode - it's just REALLY frustrating.

I'm pretty new here myself, but I don't think it does any good to ask for cheats because I don't think there are any!
The "setting the clock forward to make time go faster" trick is about the only thing there is ... and I'd want to be pretty confident it wouldn't mess up anything else on my computer before I'd try it! (Though I "Do" do it on my Pocket PC, because I only use it for a Fish Tycoon Gameboy)
You can use the search feature to find threads on how to use that trick.
But as for actual cheats, I just don't think there are any! And even if there are, I wouldn't want to find them here. They should be posted at 'cheat' sites ... not on the game forum, IMO.
This is such an wonderfully fun and relaxing 'family' kinda game. ... And setting up tanks doesn't really take all that much work once you know how. I have a website where I discribe how I play the game, and setup tanks. Perhaps that would help you.  The link is below.
Please don't give up on the game for lack of money! If necessary, start the game over to get better starter fish, and give it another try. It's definately worth the effort! Finding those pretty exotic fish is just sooooooooooooo much fun! And the more you can do on your own, the more fun it is!

You hear alot about changing the time on your pc or whatever and it does work but you tend to lose a lot of babbies so i wouldn't do it.

in my experience changing the clocks, i always end up with several sick fish..and i get upset when my fishies get sick

I tried the clock thing. I definately would NOT recommend it. I ended up killing a tank and a half of fish before I realized what was happening. I would put the clock ahead two hours and then put it back to the regualr time when I was done. Didn't realize that to set the clock back to the correct time, the hours went forward to the next day at that time. That was the only cheat I tried to perform, while trying to tell myself it really wasn't a full-on cheat. I learned my lesson, cheaters never win!! They just kill their fish, lol!

See my problem with money is the 300$ start off, I did that for awhile but when I wanted to play on hard mode I just couldnt be bothered with starting off with 300$ so I hex edited the saved game file and made myself start off with $1000 even tho some would consider that cheating it was just alittle kick start. I find it a bit easier becuase it seems the fish die non stop on hard mode and get sick as soon as they are hatched.

then use my cheat start with 16 million then play the game.

when i fast forward i do 2 hours and some of you almost do a day i think (my guess)never do more than 3 hours or you'll have many dead fish u still get sick guys but not too much and when i do that my fish dont die

There are several fish that will sell for around $100 and do fine in a level 2 environment. You can discover several good species by cross-breeding different fish.
