I have researched tank environment up to level 3, and I am still having trouble getting any even medium fancy eggs started. Do you have to put them right on the viability plant? Any other suggestions? It's not that they die, they never get started. I drop them into the tank, and they immediately vanish. Help!

When you drop eggs into the tank, they will appear to 'vanish' a few moments later. If you wait, though, you will see the little babies appear in the tank. They're small and gray, so you have to be looking for them or you might miss them.

and if you want to make thim grow faster putt it on 1/2 time
and go to the minu and press the windows key thin dubble click on the clock and fast your clock 4 hrs and go look at the baby fish and feed thim and do the same thing one more time and tha will be adult fish

what I do, to see my eggs "hatch" faster, is drop them in, then switch to view another tank & go back to the first tank (within about 10 seconds) and *poof* I have babies!
