I downloaded VV1 onto my laptop a couple of weeks ago and quickly became hooked. Trouble is so has my 10 year old daughter. As it is the shcool holidays here we're having arguements over who is getting to look after their tribe and for how lonmg etc.

I was wondering if there was a way I could traqnsfer a copy of the game from my laptop to her PC in her room?

The fate of my villagers depends on it!

The precise method depends upon where you purchased the game. Different game sites have different policies with respect to installing on additional computers. If you purchased the game directly from LDW (ldw.com or virtualvillagers.com), then the easiest way to install the game on your daughter's computer is to download and install the free trial, and then enter the activation information that was contained in your purchase confirmation email.

If her computer does not have an Internet connection, you can put the downloaded file on a CD or portable storage device and use that to install the game on her computer.

If you purchased the game from another site, please check on their site for specific policies and procedures. \:\)

Thanks for your quick reply. I bought it from AOL games and they give you an activation code so you can transfer it. However I have as of yet not got Ana's wireless internet to work. so it looks as if I may have to do the CD thing. Silly question however. where would I find the downloaded file?

If you downloaded an installation file from AOL, it would be located in the directory that you chose to save it to. If you chose to run the installer directly from their site, the installer is stored in a temp folder and may have been deleted from your computer already. Since every game site has different packaging, digital rights management, and activation procedures for our games, it's really best to check with AOL for specific details of transferring the game to your daughter's computer.
