I don't know what happened, (it was the middle of the night for me) but I feel something unfair to be punished because again 2 or 3 guys have gone too far.

Laurence? I'm sure this wasn't meant to "punish" anybody. We know that you, and most forum members do a good job of following the Rules.

Regrettably, some people aren't caring enough to follow the rules.

This of course presents a dilemma, because the staff then gets complaints from those who are trying to follow the rules.

It also puts LDW in a bad spot, when parent's come in to see if it's ok for their children to view this forum, and see that some people are breaking the rules.

Many of the problems we experience, like losing Forum Games; Off Topics; Fan Fiction etc etc etc could all be avoided, if people would only

Which, by the way, happen to be posted at the very top of every single forum.

I agree that the forumers need to follow the rules.

I'm sorry, Laurence, that you feel you are being punished. We aren't punishing anyone - not even the people who contributed to the situation that caused its removal.

You have been very responsible and helpful here, and it's unfortunate that you've had to experience the temporary loss of something that was very enjoyable to you. It is a sad fact that, in almost every area of life, a few people can cause the loss of privileges for many people who have done nothing wrong.

I will explain everything more fully after we've had a chance to prepare specific Shout Box guidelines (beyond what is contained in the rules).

Could PM''s be sent to those who created the problem and clarify what was inappropiate? I just hope i wasn't part of it. if i was i would like to know because I have a tendency not to realize I'm apart of the problem intill someone stands right in front of me and tells me.

We will try to work this out the best way we can. Every time something like this happens, it takes a lot of time away from working on our games. People need to understand that we don't have an entire department dedicated to managing the forums, and it takes a lot of time to send individual PMs to people.

Attention all SB Users

I have created a shoutbox, with LadyCFII's permission, that we can all use while the LDW shoutbox is gone. The point of this SB is that it is not affiliated with LDW in any way. The only similarity is that it will have the same users. The URL is:

EDIT: I also suggest putting the shoutbox in a separate tab so you can be on the forums and the SB at the same time.
