I have 10 Villager and now need to build another hut. I completed building the first one and repaired the damaged one. How do I either get the materials for another hut or trigger the process to make it available?

When a new hut is necessary, the fondations of a new hut will appear, even a little earlier!
I think that for the 2nd hut in VV2, it's around 13 villagers.

I keep trying and trying and no luck. No preggies. All of my population is healthy and I'm only using adults 18 and over. No one yet is 50. I have plenty of food.What gives????? Anybody have any idea?

What does the message say when you try to initiate some kissing with your villagers? The first housing limit in VV2 is 10, so that sounds suspiciously like a housing limitation. However, you say that you've completed the first hut.

The message says, depending on who has been coupled, "Going indoors, this villager has improved parenting". They then go into the Love hut and come out without anything happening. Also, just to be clear. I have two huts and one Research hut.

If it is fairly early in your game, the villagers may just be developing parenting skill. Have you tried several times? Also, if it is early, a message may come that reads 'the villager is too hungry for this'. This doesn't stop population increase but is a warning that you may not have enough food to sustain a larger population.

There is an exploit in the game, not truely a cheat, but you don't have to let the villagers go all the way to the hut. You can pause the game and put the two together several times in a row until the population number increases. If you try this it may help.

I have successfully had three babies, all with the same woman and man(because of age). Now I have a larger pool of candidates. I tried pausing the game and putting the couples together. Nothing happens. They don't even seem to actually touch, just one overlays the other. When I unpause and put two separate couples together, they all go to the hut, still no babies. I have plenty of food (currently 1800) and no one has mentioned starving. I have food growing in the garden, and some coconuts left.

Ok, although the Pause thing does not work for me, I have finally gotten two more babies to be produced. Apparently, it just takes perserverance.

Nothing will happen when the game is paused. It sometimes does take persistence to produce babies (sometimes dozens of tries), but I wanted to be absolutely sure that there was no message that would explain the problem first (since I can't actually see your game).

I believe bethlham is thinking of the multiple collection trick with the pause. For 'speed-kissing' you don't pause. It's just that you don't have to let them get all the way to the hut.

She's probably thinking of VV3, where villagers can kiss when the game is paused (unlike previous VV games).

Oops! My bad! You are right, I was thinking VV3 and paused speed-kissing...that's what I get for using the active topics search and not checking which section is being used.

I am glad you got some babies though! I guess regardless of which game you are playing...persistance helps!
