Okay, cool - and thanks for the super quick reply! =)

That's a great feature, that the game isn't locked! I bought some song online, and then I had to reboot computer and mp3 player and lost dem because I couldn't copy or burn them >=(

I have a desktop and a laptop, but can only play these games on the desktop, because I have linux on the laptop and these games aren't compatible with linux. I sure wish they were, because there are times I'd like to use my lap top.

But right now, I'm playing VV3 on the desktop, while I'm reading and posting to the forum on the linux laptop.

I keep all of the VV guides on the laptop, so I can just pull them up anytime I want one while I'm playing on the desktop.

Hi!

My dad bought the game direct from LDW for Mac and I was just wondering... how many laptops could share the game (maximum)? I was planning to download it to my sister's and my dad's laptops so we can play together with my cousins whenever they come here. I also bring my laptop to school and play VV3...IP address in school is different from our house... would this be able to cause my game's deactivation? I was just making sure of things before I do it^_^

This is what Carla posted about installing our games on multiple computers when they are purchased directly from us (other game sites have their own policies, which are usually different from ours). The references to registration codes don't apply to the Mac version, but the principle is the same:

Quote:
Officially when you purchase a license for one of our games, it is for use on one computer. If you purchase the game from us, however (as opposed to some of the various resellers who use a variety of different protection software), the game will allow you to use the same registration code on more than one computer in the same household, and we really would not have a problem with that anyway. Please be careful not to share your registration code outside of your household, however, because if it starts spreading publicly we will have to deactivate the code and it will no longer work in the future!

Taking your laptop to school and playing the game there will not cause problems or deactivate your game. \:\)

Your teachers might have different ideas if you play the game in class, though!

Well, yeah, but that's not a technical problem related to installing the game on multiple computers. I'm sure that the game would be played at lunchtime, and not during class!
