Hi guys; I'm a 75 year old grammy and not to whippy I guess.
I'm doing well in this 3rd game except that I get so exasperated
by how long it takes me to get tech points. My doctor was surprised that I was "into" computer games and said that is the cause of my decrepet old wrists hurting. I am limited to l hr. of messing around with the game then have to rest 3 hrs. I leave the game on all the time but it sure is slow going. I have level 2 of the magic faction and level 2 of all the techs. I have the puzzles l thru ll done.now I'm kind of stuck because of the darn tech points being so slow to get. Got any advice?: ANYBODY???????????

It'll go faster if you turn the game off, actually; when you boot back up, it'll calculate everything that might have happened in the last few hours, but I find they seem to make more progress when the game is off. (I don't micromanage much.) The game is slow-paced, specifically because it's the type of game you should be able to play 5 minutes a day, and still win.

Advice? Cut back on farmers. One or two is enough - crosstrain (but don't check off) a couple healers as farmers, so that if food gets low, there are skilled villagers; but only check one or two. A healer or two, also. After that, all researchers. That should speed things up. Having only one female parent should ensure a slow growth, without worrying about all your mothers suddenly turning up with babies.

I agree that turning the game off when you're not playing it helps. The villagers seem to get more distracted when the game is open. And having as many researchers as possible is good advise. Other skills kind of depend on your population size. You do sound as if you are at a point in the game when there is a 'lull' while accumulating points. I have used that time to train builders, find collectibles or mushrooms until points are up. Hope this helps.

Good luck \:\)
