The information about backing up VV3 games is here. The images in that mod (which is probably Tuna Puzzler's mod) are fine. I've checked them out myself. Are you sure you didn't examine the file in an image editing program that doesn't support transparency and accidentally save it? That would cause it to be a white rectangle. Downloading it again and copying it directly to the images folder should fix that problem.

thank you lady i tried again, and didn't preview it in anything and again its just white the 2 map graphics are fine but the tree_overhang.png is just a white square i just don't know what is going wrong oh well, guess i will just keep my overhang  many thanks for the link  for the backup

That's very strange. It sound like your system is not downloading and saving the file in its original form.

I assumed that it was all white, since one of the images (the one for the tree overhang) is completely transparent. It would be all white if transparency was not preserved.

you assume correctly lady  it just put a big white square into the overhang area "just big white block o' doom" LOL i never did figure out the problem

Why don't you try the mod again, following the instructions in this post exactly, and tell me if you still have the same problem.

the same thing happened lady i got a screen shot the first 2 images are jpg images the tree overhand is a png image i wonder if that makes a difference you see, its just a white block oh and i followed the instructions to a "T"

That view looks fine. Notice that in the thumbnail it appears white against the white background but in the large version of the image at the top it appears pale blue? That shows it is transparent. Or at least it should be ...
