I just got virtual villagers:the lost children like two days ago. I got on my computer to play today and there is algae in the ocean!! How do I get rid of it? I heard you can use algae eating fish from the pond but when I tried putting various villagers in the pond they only swam around! Help!!

This is a puzzle with several requirements - it has relatively high tech requirements and individual villager skill requirements. This topic isn't tagged 'spoiler', but you can find detailed solutions over in the Guides portions of this forum.

You need level 3 Farming and master farmers and scientist to go in the lagoon. You need to do this a few times.

So just take a bunch of master farmers and scientists to fish the magic fish from the lagoon and it will clean your ocean... and voila! your villagers will never starve again.

You can get coconuts & a farm too,but the coconuts take a long time to reproduce,& the farm leaves you only 800 food.This,I find dissapointing. Ooops!My post is sooooooooooooooo late!
