I have a child chief.. he became chief at 2 years old. Now when I need a fire dance, or want him to teach the little ones or to heal a child, he can't/won't do it. I'm guessing that pulling a child onto a child, required for the healing and teaching, is "banned" behavior, but the fire dance is just puzzling--and a real problem as the tribe badly needs the rain for a third tree. I'd be happy with a child chief again--as long as he/she is maybe 9 or 10 at least, so s/he would be 14 before I need those functions too badly.

I like a male child chief. When an old chief dies I try the kids first. I am sad when they do not don the robe. So saldy I have to carry on picking my villagers until I find the next one. But my oldest chief when they becamne chief has been 16. So still young really.
But when I re-begin a game, I restart until I get a little boy chief! Little girls are OK but sometimes when they bigger, she is out of action apart from food for 2 years!! (Teeee Heeee!)
I would like to see the bundle of the baby grow in size over the 2 years Mum is carrying it around, before it starts running around. As unless you remember the Mother's age when she got a kiddie, you do not know when she will be back either for work or to have another baby. So if the bundles got bigger then it would give us a hint!!

<Pardon me, Laurence, but don't you mean slow speed?:)> I too have my child chief tribe on pause because I can't bear to see her grow up too quickly. I started another new tribe just to avoid this certainty!

when I need a fire dance, or want him to teach the little ones or to heal a child, he can't/won't do it. He should be able do the fire dance. I also think he should be able to heal a child, but I'm not sure. He won't be able to teach the kids until he reaches 18.

Two of my three were/are adult females; the third was a male child, age 2.

He's 14 now, and still is not allowed to teach a child (I haven't had a sick child since he turned 14). He can now fire dance, but fortunately I didn't have to wait this long--a natural event finally occurred on its own!

On second thoughts, he possibly wouldn't be able to heal a child. The game might think he's trying to teach, which he's too young to do.
