I have level three in resoration, and I have had a villager draw detailed plans on the board. But whenever I set the buliders on the statue, nothing happens. What am I doing wrong?

there are lots of posts on this so you can get all the info you need. It does take more that restoration tech though.

Take a look at some other threads for some hints

first you have to set the cheif on the statue and wait for him to say directing work and then place a builder on the statue

Do you have the scaffolding in place? If not, that needs to be done first. There is detailed help in the VV3 Guides section here.
