Ah but 6 games
the Cubbies must play
before they can put
the Cardinals away!
And 5 with the Brewers
the Cubs yet still face.
'Twould be a real shame,
if they o'er take first place.
So the season's not over,
there's much to be done.
There's pressure to bear,
and games to be won.
Now this much I'll fear
since I must confess.
That Pujols and friends
may fall from their nest.
So if to the playoffs,
the Cards fail to fly,
I'll root for some Cubs,
to make pennants fly!
