How do people go about how many seeds they store from each seed ? I was trying to store 2 of each but this hasnt worked well at all.

What is the best method ?

I think I may start fresh as I seem to be in a right mess

With over 500 different breeds of plant in the game, there is no way to store enough seeds to keep even one seed from every plant that you discover. Most people use some form of tracking system to record their breeding efforts. Spreadsheets are a popular choice.

What would you suggest my 1st purchase would be ? I only have $200

I always go for the soil improvement first, because that lets me breed more valuable plants! You can earn money faster if you watch for common plants that are worth more (some can be sold for more than $40) and breed them until you have enough cash to buy better soil.

Are there any spreadsheets out there already for Plant Tycoon? I think I have the hardest time keeping organized with Plant Tycoon, because there are no names to make charting easier, so I have to make up my own... "Cactus that looks sort of like a Prickly Pear Cactus" lol, or "Pink Dogwood Type Flower" (as to be different from the "Pink Pocket Lint Fluff type flower") ... so then I try to draw a little picture, so I have a "visual aid" ... then I get all caught up in the drawings, and end up giving up on the chart altogether. lol! Hasn't anybody seen one through, like Cleaverarts did for Fish Tycoon?

I check every once in awhile, but I have yet to find anything for Plant Tycoon. I'm working on a spreadsheet now that's using actual (small) screenshots of the flowers and foliage types, but it's not finished yet.

I thought of doing screenshots. But again, I knew I would start fussing around with wanting plants + plants only, and flowers + flowers only... well, you can see the big "tangent" I'd be off on there. I'd be spending more time in a graphics program, cutting out itty bitty flowers, than playing the game. lol.

As it is, I always -think- I'm going to remember which flower + which flower = which flower... but by the next day, I forget what I planted in which pot, and what I expected it to look like. Arrgh! lol And WHICH of those carefully chosen seeds that I saved, created it, anyway? lol!

Good question! I didn't work on it at all over the recent holidays. I guess I'd better get busy again!

You know I'm teasing you, so take your time! I'll just patiently check the Plant Tycoon posts [DAILY] until I see it. lol!

I just started playing Plant tycoon few days ago and seems to be going nowhere. Do you have this spreadsheet already?

I finished determining all of the combinations, but did not finish the spreadsheet because the pictures made it too large.
