Ok, I have played the game several times and found all of the magical fish. What happens next? The game appears to continue rather than going to a screen that totally ends it and/or gives you a final score. Is there something that comes next? Am I missing a key idea?

All of LDW's games are designed to be open-ended, so you can play any given game as long as you like! I've had my latest Fish Tycoon game on my Pocket PC going for over a year. You can play the game many times, trying different difficulty settings and/or breeding strategies. If you're using the screen saver in the Windows version, you can change the makeup of the fish in your tanks every so often for some variety.

Change difficulty settings? I think I remember a setting when I first downloaded the game, but when I create new players, that question doesn't come up. Do I have to reinstall the game to try a more difficult version (not quite done with the ones I currently have running, but'll be good to know. (I'm on a PC...)

If you go to the menu and select Options, you'll see the difficulty settings. All versions of Fish Tycoon allow you to set the game difficulty.

I've never tested what happens when you change difficulty settings mid-game, so I can't really say how that would affect game play. This is what Arthur said about the difficulty settings for Plant Tycoon, and I'd imagine it's something similar for Fish Tycoon:

Since the genetic code that determines each plant is largly non-random, if you knew the 'recipe' for a magic plant, it would work the same on any difficulty setting.

I was hoping that the "recipe" wouldn't change since I've been collecting data across three different players. Though I may wait until I complete a game before changing the difficulty mid-game.
