I have a pregnant chief! She is 39.

Has anyone else had one?

I did not drop her on a man, and none the men were master parents or set to be parents, I had just completed my 3rd hut and was making a few of the females have babies to build up my population as it was a bit top heavy age wise.
She became the second chief of my tribe and she was about 13 when she became chief.

She still makes food but nothing else.

Did she just feel broody??!!!! Teeee Heeee!!

She had no parenting skills from her parents. She has some now!!
When she became chief she had some building and research skill in her boxes.

Oh yes, they can get pregnant... \:\) I have had it happen. Made it happen even when needed. A male chief can get someone pregnant too, btw... \:D

I prefer to use my chief as a parent!!
Although he may not have many skills his kiddies seem to learn better when they have their daily teaching session from him.
It will be interesting to see who the Dad was, I did not see it happen! - and what skills the baby has!

Means she cannot lecture or point out collectibles though or direct new work.

Well, she is back to a chief again.
I shall keep my beady eyes on the culprit!

The Dad is one of what I would call my "slow learners" so the baby so far has no skills. Will see over the days as it learns!
He seems to have fathered most of those last lot of new babies, I had only a very few men of the correct age at the time, but now it is pretty equal as the batch of growing kiddies when the chief was pregnant were mostly boys and some are now already working.
But this 'slow learner'- his parenting skills are very low. Does it only mean the woman gets the skill if you drop her onto him?
Or because he is mentally challenged?!!! Teee Heeee!!

People do what they know how to do - they don't necessarily have to be checked for it.

The villager who gains parenting skills is the "kisser" not the "kissee", so, since your chief gained some skill, it appears that she sought out the father.

One little anomaly is that, although a nursing chief can't carry out most of the chiefly duties, she can create magic food.

Thanks for that tip. I just assumed that, like all the other mothers, a nursing chief would do nothing else. I have just been timing it so that she would not be nursing when the time came for the 24hr duties. And as 1 of my 3 villages seems to eat alot, this will be very helpful during their down time. LOL----Arnie, this village is the one with my pearl-runner. I wonder if she is the reason for the sudden drop in food?

I have not had triplets yet. Loads of twins.

But I had triplets in VV1 and VV2.
1 lot in VV1 and so far 4 lots in VV2.
