In VV1 and VV2 you could get a villager to honour the dead by taking them to the gravestones.
Like others it is the first few to die I miss the most.
I cannot make them do this in VV3 although some do it spontaneously, they go to the flowers by the fountain.
Is there a way to get them to honour the dead I have not found?

Secondly. All my villagers that die are seen as the bones on the amphitheatre.
Is that case for everyone?
Not like in the others when you would suddenly see them crumble to bones wherever they were at the time.
I have only missed a few deaths, I often find tht when you unpause the game they are collecting the body from the amphitheatre.

Also not a query, but I have never tried altering time, etc. but when a villager dies
could we not have a date on the Roster, so you can see how long you have been the tribe in that location?
In the old stats you could see how many hours it had been running.

The thing about pausing and leaving the game running, is that it doesn't stop aging. This might cause some inconsistencies that cause the game to shift the bones over. Have you ever had them collect a body from a death that occurred while the game was running? Do you know this to happen when a villager dies while the game is running normally?

I never bothered to look at it much, but I've never seen a death that happened when I was actually there. (I never played VV marathons, as you can probably tell.)

Oh, and no, I don't know of any way to manually 'honor the dead.'

I liked that in VV1 and 2 as well. Sometimes in VV3 if you get them to read the roster then they do it but this might just be coincidence. Let me know if it works for you.

Yeah, mine do it too. It's kinda sweet that they go to the most sacred space to pass over though.

I hope this helps. \:D

In VV1 the bones always ended up in the centre of the village, in VV2 the bones ended up next to the fire. In VV3 they end up in the amphitheatre.

In neither of the other two games their bones fell where they died....and they still don't!

That's right. I've seen villagers actually die in all three games. In each case they simply disappear and a skeleton appears in a different spot.

I don't know a way of forcing the villagers in VV3 to "honor the dead". When one decides to do it spontaneously it's a long walk right across the map from the flowers to the gravestones, plus whatever time they spend walking from wherever they were to the flowers. Often it seems to be the elderly villagers, so the walk takes a long while. Not surprising though, as they are probably remembering their departed friends and family.

Well. I have been an eye on my older esteemed elder elderlie's since I posted this topic!
Plus to keep them healthy I have been giving the whole tribe a medium health tonic daily.

Just now, I gave my 74 year old elder elder a tonic, he was not my oldest, his health bar was at full before he drank it, and after it said he felt better then immediately it said he felt sick. I moved him to the hospital where they cured him, and he then walked to the amphitheatre and lay down and whoosh the bones appeared.

I have tried taking villagers to the Roster but they look at and then go back to what they were doing.

Forgot to say cause of his death old age!

And I am doing the Nature faction game, and so does the improvement in longevity only happen when the people born after you achieve Level 3 Faction? Or the younger ones?
All my oldies are dying around the 74-76 mark.
No improvement since the game began.

I can't say I've noticed any difference. In fact, if anything, my earliest villagers tend to live longer than their descendants. The ones who die first tend on average to be in the late 70s or early 80s, whereas the later deaths seem to at be around 72-76. I generally don't get L3 Nature until the last thing, by which time several elderly villagers will have died.

Perhaps the hard life they have to lead makes the earlier villagers more long-lived? \:\)

This is true. The first level grants you food. The second brings the pitcher plant. The third is longevity. All of this is in the info for the tech in the tech screen.

I think though, that getting medicine first, which also helps longevity, would help sooner, and cost less.

Yah. I go for Medicine first of all the L3 advances.
