I completed this village in about 4 or 5 days keeping my population under 30 at all times. I decided to let my village die out and start another village under a different name.

But Anyways
My Golden Child has died. I thought no harm can come to them.

If only we could all be so lucky.

So who is the villager you have left? It says you have a population of one. If it were me, I'd keep the tribe, wait for an event to bring new people, and repopulate. No rotten GC!

The GC can be killed by an event. I've had that happen. I didn't know either that he could starve. Hmm. Well, at least it wasn't a tribe you were fond of.

The GC makes so much dang food, I didn't think a tribe of 90 could starve with him around.

It's not likely that the GC starved, since there is 97942 food available. The game log is the only way to know for sure why he died.

My last villager died!

What do you mean when you say game log? Where is that? Is that the Statistics?

Thanks! I was able to find out about my VV2 but not my VV1 games. I dont think I have the downloaded version VV1.. Hmm.. But its good to know its there if it happens next time!

Phhht. We should all be so lucky! After a while, I was ready to send the GC to the salt mines. How dissapointed I was that the cave WASN'T a salt mine.

I have my suspicions that god had nothing whatsoever to do with the GC. If only we could perform an exorcism....

Besides . . . my GC was perhaps only five years old physically, but he was hundereds of years old chronologically, when I moved on. The good may die young, but the old geezers just keep going.

My GC got killed off just after all the puzzles were done... Random events RULE!! I celebrated Woot woot!!

Yeah I guess the GC has no use anymore....x)

It's not that the GC has no use - it's that he causes undesirable events, and eliminates any and all challenge.

the Golden child is good! let the Golden Child live! o, the poor young child. why must he die, when he throws partys, everyone will be healed, he can do such good things.......,...

Or that villagers couldn't be stuffed in and the rock replaced. That's a fate the GC most surely deserves.

I'm going to lock this thread, since there are several others that deal with the pros and cons of the GC already.
